After breakfast in a cafe in Montmartre we crossed Paris in the metro this morning, picked up our vehicle and headed south at 10.30 a.m. The weather got warmer and warmer the further south we got. At 4.30 pm when we stopped for a break it was 37 degrees!
Arrived at Caromb right on 6.00 pm. A beautiful apartment in a lovely village with fantastic hosts. Having a rosé on the terrace looking directly out at Mont Ventoux.
For dinner we had pizzas from a pizza truck in the village square. A typical white transit van but inside the pizza man kneaded, rolled and floured the dough before making delicious pizzas. And he sold us a bottle of rosé!
