Lunch at River Cottage in Axminster

Drove from Bath back to Cherry and Jon's and then had lunch at Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall's River Cottage Canteen and Deli in Axminster.

River Cottage Canteen
Lunch included: Canteen fresh baked bread with rosemary oil; Mushrooms; Ham hock and leek crumble with pickled spring vegetables; Merguez lamb meatballs with hummus; Grilled Devon asparagus with Jersey Royals, halloumi, lemon and mint; Brisket with  pickled red cabbage and fried egg.
Celebrity chef and TV presenter Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall has his River Cottage H.Q. at a farm in the Axe valley.  He purchased an old inn in Axminster and converted it into an organic produce shop/market and canteen.

If you recognise the name Axminster it's probably because it gave its name to a type of carpet.
